Gallun Fine Jewelry was founded in 1950 by my mom Dorothy Gallun. 
When I was a baby, mom would put me in a basket, put me under one of the jewelry counters and gave me a bottle when I cried...frankly, I can't think of a better way to grow up; warm cozy basket, milk, mom and being surrounded by beautiful jewelry!! 

After I graduated from Ripon College in Ripon, WI mom sent me to the Gemological Institute of America in California where I earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma. 

It was hard, I mean studying on the beach with all that sand getting into your books, the cool ocean breezes flipping the pages of those books and not to mention the beautiful scenery (the tan buff bodies of beach boys!)....well somehow I managed! 

Sadly mom just passed away at 98 years old, but to the end she came to the store with me every day. 

She was the best mom, business partner, and best friend you could ever ask for. In short we were soul mates! 

Now I get to continue on your legacy for future generations.
